The unexpected muse for my journey into animal portraiture was my cat, Bonez. The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 led me to rediscover my passion for art after losing my job as a yoga instructor. Painting Bonez sparked joy and passion, revealing animal portraiture as my niche. The love for animals, inspired by my cat, became a therapeutic outlet during uncertain times. Selling my first artwork at the 32nd St Farmers Market marked the beginning of a successful venture. As demand grew, I expanded to pet portraits, capturing the unique essence of pets from the community. The frequent request for dog portraits in Baltimore city inspired my lifelong dream of creating a children's book about dogs in Baltimore, all thanks to my cat.
