The unexpected muse for my journey into animal portraiture was my cat, Bonez. The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 led me to rediscover my passion for art after losing my job as a yoga instructor. Painting Bonez sparked joy and passion, revealing animal portraiture as my niche. The love for animals, inspired by my cat, became a therapeutic outlet during uncertain times. Selling my first artwork at the 32nd St Farmers Market marked the beginning of a successful venture. As demand grew, I expanded to pet portraits, capturing the unique essence of pets from the community. The frequent request for dog portraits in Baltimore city inspired my lifelong dream of creating a children's book about dogs in Baltimore, all thanks to my cat.

Exciting news! I'm venturing into the world of children's book publishing, fueled by my lifelong passion for animals and art. "Dogs of Charm City," my latest project, pays homage to my home of six years – Baltimore. Teaming up with Dogs of Charm City, a portion of book sales will generously support the SPCA and BARCS.
